Q: Are you a collection agency?
A: We are not a collection agency. Collection
agencies process debts in bulk, and are hired to collect someone
else’s debt. They send out letters and call debtors to try
to get them to pay. We, on the other hand, are a debt purchaser.
We purchase Judgments and debt from individuals or companies that
are owed money, and then enforce the debt as the legal owner.

Q. What type of Judgments and debt do you buy?
A. Marley, Hunter & Winston, LLC purchases
Civil Court Judgments in Florida and Michigan. We will consider
purchasing Judgments in other states on a case by case basis.
We also purchase other distressed debt such as credit card portfolios
and defaulted Notes. - top-
Q. Why sell my judgment to you? I can collect it myself.
A: Enforcing a judgment is hard work. It is time
consuming and expensive. If it was easy, you would have already
collected, right? Truth be told, we have no idea whether or not
we can collect the debt prior to our purchase. We do, however,
have the resources (legally and financially) to aggressively pursue
the Debtor or put the file on hold (for months or years if needed).
In addition to attorneys fees, costs to enforce a Judgment could
run upwards of $3,000 for a levy on a vehicle, $500 for a levy
on real estate, and $250.00 for a bank account or wage garnishment.
Of course, before you bear these additional collection costs,
you must first locate the debtors’ assets (this too costs
money). Why throw good money after bad? - top-
Q. Why should I choose Marley, Hunter & Winston?
A. You do not have to wait for us to collect
to get paid. Most “Judgment Recovery Companies” or
Collection Agencies work on a contingency basis. That means you
do not get paid unless the Company or Agency working your account
gets paid. Marley, Hunter & Winston, LLC, understands your
urgency of receiving payment now, so we offer payment immediately
to put money back into your pocket. - top-
Q. Will you buy my Judgment? What forms are needed?
A: We do not buy every Judgment. Each Judgment
is assessed, and a value is placed on it, based on many factors
including the amount and age of the Judgment, as well as the location
of the debtor. Should we decide to purchase your Judgment, we
will send you an "Assignment of Judgment” and a “Bill
of Sale”. Both forms must be notarized and the originals
returned to our office. - top-
Q: How much will it cost me?
A: It costs you absolutely nothing. We pay you
a flat fee in exchange for the Assignment of your debt or Judgment.
This means the paper is put into our company name, which permits
us to take action. - top-
Q: How quickly will I get paid?
A:That’s up to you. We tender payment the
moment the assignment documents are signed and delivered to our
office. - top-
Q. I have a Judgment from overseas, not in US dollars.
Will you buy it?
A: Sorry, you will have to find a debt buyer
or attorney in the country where the Judgment is entered. Our
company only buys U.S. Judgments. - top-
Q. What should I do now?
A: Send an email to info@mhwrecovery.com
or call 813-350-7848. Our staff will be happy to answer any questions,
and will provide a confidential, no-cost assessment of your judgment.
